Sustainable development is an essential component of HI LIFE philosophy.
It was natural for us that our Tunisian hotel would be in harmony with local life and its environment.
Located in the heart of Nefta, a protected site at the frontier of the desert, DAR HI is located above an oasis of palm trees that are in danger.
HI LIFE has created an association: PALM LAB that is working closely with the foundation Albert of Monaco. It is a laboratory of ideas to find solutions to protect the oasis and learn how to use it respecting organic and sustainable procedures.
Finding new ways to use Palm trees, reviving three stages agriculture and involving the tourists are the main points of this approach.
It is also important to educate the population about the importance of protecting the Nefta oasis and setting up irrigation systems to win the fight against the desert, HI LIFE tries to rehabilitate the link between man and nature.
